Have you ever wondered how advanced designers model very complex forms in Revit. Design Source India will teach you how Dynamo is an extremely powerful visual programming plugin for Revit that unleashes its users into the API to harness its generative design methodologies By the end of this course, you'll know how to navigate the visual programming environment, most notably, you'll have a firm understanding of the structure of geometrical data, and how to reorganize that data when necessary for construction. From here, you'll be able to explore your own simple structures, with the assistance of the many resources presented throughout the course. I'm looking forward to teaching you about the basics of visual programming for dynamo and Revit.

Dynamo user interface and functions:
We should keep in mind about Revit and Dynamo, Dynamo is an add-in, it's a separate window that lives outside of the Revit user interface.
It's important to be aware that Dynamo is constantly updating, the developers are very active. It's an open-source software which means that even the users are generating new tools every day for use.
The best thing about the way that they've set up Dynamo for open-source use is that it's operable, even when it's slightly out of date. So, if it's been a couple of weeks since you got back into developing a dynamo definition. It should still be operable, even if there were a couple of small package updates, in some instances when they go from version. Eight to version nine for instance, you may have to upgrade before you're able to produce anything.
In-depth exploration of data types and lists:
When you are involved in the concept phase of a project you want to get a value for all different alternatives: the shape of the building, how the lights come, etc in all of these different parameters and you want to test it very very quickly at that face and understand how that is going to impact the energy and if you have these tools at your disposal and send that data back to your clients and they can be informed about the decision how the design will affect operating cost the comfort of the space. This kind of information is very valuable. Revit has the capability to do all those test runs and initial studies upon the cloud without compromising our local storage and accessing files by doing multiple iterations. We can do all those tasks on the clouds of the storage of our local computer With the technology, more iterations of the design, we get better designs. Designs are more sustainable and these are cost-effective
Focusing on how information flows through the Dynamo program:
BIM - the future of project delivery has arrived and it is here with a common data platform. It will show seamless transition as projects move from design through planning to construction to operations all project data is collected in a common data platform ensuring accuracy and availability of information and reducing data loss across phases. BIM facilitates a frictionless data flow with BIM tools as an open platform you can leverage information from third party application using API. This centralized data allows you to extract insights that lead product to better predictability. Data-driven decision replace last known information and lead to avoidance of unforeseen problem both for individual projects and across your portfolio. In BIM all terms and data across the project life cycle are connected automatically processing industry standard file types to enable seamless axis and coordination across distributed teams. The design team can co-author model and control work-sharing environment by managing permissions and allowing work in progress development where to publish them & can easily understand changes as a Project progress from change visualization in an aggregated viewing environment while coordinating deliverables across the entire project team sharing. Design data with contractors and Fabricators facilitate better planning and coordination while reducing the likelihood of RFIs and change order, flooring cost and keeping the project on schedule and adding the data from pre-construction software will define scope quantity cost and schedules with all of the information available. As a Project moves to the job site contractor and traders are able to harness critical information of project in real time and mitigating errors that typically occurs once the construction begins, they utilise the most current project information centralised unavailable in a common data platform multiple forms are able to access exactly what they need when they need it and in the format required and with the BIM platform all the building and design information is available to owners and facility managers women's where you connect teams across for the phrases centralised data to ensure accuracy and access control information for conceptions through operations and analyses data to gain insight and efficiencies. Here in the common data platform is where you deliver the right information in the right format to the right person at the right time to improve collaboration and coordination across the entire project lifecycle. BIM is the future of project delivery.
Applied exercise constructing geometry with a data centric approach:
Construction documentation from the BIM- at the end of the day being an Architect it would be crucial to deliver working drawings to the construction site. BIM assist you in the developing layout, Plans, Sections & complete construction documentation in cordination with your consultants and engineers in various file formats including PDF, DWG, DWF etc...
A brief summation of how geometry exists in Dynamo and is published into Revit.:
Combine logic, geometry, math, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) with Dynamo visual programming. We'll use Dynamo to drive a Revit document and interoperate with other applications, data sources, and modeling tools. If you already have some experience with Revit and are looking to expand its capabilities with computation, this workshop is for you. Basic understanding of computer programming and scripting is helpful, but not required.
